John Terry Faces Another UEFA Ban

Chelsea's controversial skipper John Terry has been handed additional two match ban for European games by UEFA for his sending-off against Barcelona in Champions League semi-final.

Due to this red card he missed the final victory over Bayern Munich as a mandatory ban.
He has been now ruled out of the Super Cup match against Europa League winners Atletico Madrid in August, as well as Chelsea's first Champions League group game.

The former England captain John Terry was sent-off for violent conduct after driving a knee into Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez. After that incident he apologized for the red card saying "he had let his team-mates down".

UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body statement read "As the player did not participate in the subsequent final against Bayern Munich on May 19, he has already served one match of his suspension.

"The remaining two games shall apply to the player's next two UEFA club competition matches for which he would be eligible. An appeal may be lodged against this decision within three days of the dispatch of the reasoned decision."

And now Chelsea has only three days to decide whether to appeal against the decision as Terry is busy training for Euro 2012.
