EPL: Transfer updates

Reading completes signing of Fulham's Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak on a four-year contract after he was approved a work permit.

Reading's Director of Football Nick Hammond said "It'll be nice get him in and working with the lads - he's a great individual, and will fit really well into group."

"We were always hopeful that a permit would be secured but it's still great to get the deal done."

Tottenham defender Steve Caulker signs a new four year deal with the club after spending a season with Swansea City last season.

New Spurs' boss Andre Villas-Boas has rewarded him with a new deal until 2016 after impressive season at Swansea. And he is likely to step up to first team duties next season instead of spending more time on loan.

Caulker said "At this point I would say it's a bit of a long shot.

"With the changes at Tottenham and the changes we've had here ourselves... things move on."

"If things change at Tottenham we'll have a look at that but I'm sure the new manager is going to come in and probably look at all their players.

"Steven had a big impact with us last year and in particular in the Premier League."

Newcastle United's goal keeper on loan to Scottish club Celtic has signed a four years permanent deal with them after spending last two seasons on loan.

Celtic's boss Neil Lennon said: "We are delighted that Fraser has committed his future to the club.

"We believe he will be a magnificent addition to the squad.

"He gives us that continuity so this is something we are really pleased about. He is a top-class keeper."

Foster stated "This is a massive club and I feel like this is a step forward in my career.

"I want to win things as a team and improve as an individual and I think I will be able to do that at Celtic.

"It also gives me a great opportunity to play in the Champions League if we get through the qualifiers. I really enjoyed my time in Europe last season so I will be looking forward to it if it happens again.

"I enjoyed last season as a whole and we have a great young squad here.

"The players and the coaches make it an enjoyable place to be and I like being a part of this team."
